Automation Engineer

CID Automation is always interested in hearing from experienced Automation Engineers who are looking to join a growing and dynamic team.

The successful candidate will have experience in the design, development, testing and commissioning of industrial automation systems within the food, beverage or process industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, programming and commissioning of PLC and HMI control systems
• Development and implementation of SCADA systems
• Electrical and control system design
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Commissioning and support of automation solutions at customer facilities
• Preparation of technical documentation and system reports

Experience & Skills Required

• Experience with PLC programming using:
• Rockwell RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000
• Siemens Step 7
• Siemens TIA Portal
• Experience with SCADA platforms including:
• Wonderware InTouch
• FactoryTalk View
• Siemens WinCC
• Experience testing and commissioning industrial automation systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
• Full clean Driving Licence preferred
